5 : Salt Hydrolysis
  • For salts derived from a strong acid and a weak base (e.g., NaCl), the solution is neutral (pH 7).
  • For salts derived from a strong base and a weak acid (e.g., NaCH₃COO), the solution is slightly basic (pH > 7).
  • For salts derived from a weak acid and a weak base, calculate pH using the salt hydrolysis expression.
